
Theresa Yosuico Stahl, rdn, ldn, fand,
is passionate about helping people live full and satisfying lives. She has been promoting food as medicine for 4 decades in a wide variety of settings. Recognizing the powerful relationship between mental and physical health, she completed certification with the Center for Mind-Body Medicine in Washington, DC. Theresa is a Fellow of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics.
As a registered and licensed dietitian nutritionist and consultant, she is the Nutritionist with the Allegany Health Department and provides high-risk nutrition counseling with the WIC program. She is a supervisor and certified facilitator with the Center for Mind-Body Medicine.
Theresa served on the nutrition faculty of Potomac State College of West Virginia University and taught continuing education courses with Allegany College of MD. Providing medical nutrition therapy in pediatrician and primary care providers’ offices for over half of her career, she values collaboration in health care.
From community hospitals to corporate wellness, Theresa enjoys connecting with people and speaking and writing on a variety of nutrition and wellness topics locally and nationally. She has enjoyed working with media her full career. Experience includes writing and recording nutrition tips for radio and television, writing for print and web-based publications, including a website with over 5 million unique visitors per month and an e-newsletter with over 1 million opt-in subscribers, and broadcasting videos live from her local farmers’ market.
Theresa currently serves as vice-chair of the Western Maryland Food Council and is an appointed member of the Maryland Food System Resiliency Council. She is a member of the Appalachian Farm and Food Alliance, the Community Resilience Network through Allegany College of MD, and the University of Maryland Extension Advisory Committee.
